Since 2012, John Paul’s family has supported widows and vulnerable families through local charitable initiatives, inspired by his mother, Mrs Comfort Odigbo, a long-standing advocate for widows’ welfare.

Mrs Comfort Odigbo became a widow herself in 1997. That personal experience has fuelled a lifelong commitment to supporting widows and vulnerable members of her community, and she currently serves in advisory and board roles with several grassroots charitable organisations focused on widows’ welfare and community support.

Since 2012, the Odigbo family has been directly involved in supporting widows through the provision of food items, financial assistance and relief materials. That long-standing commitment eventually led to the establishment of Survival for African Foundation (SAF), an NGO focused on supporting underprivileged people, widows, orphans and others in need.
